Hi! We're Mitch & Alex and we're the founders of IcyCurls
Founders Alex & Mitch first stumbled across rolled ice cream in Cambodia on a backpacking trip. Six years later IcyCurls have served delicious ice cream rolls at hundreds of weddings, private events and parties throughout the UK
We first saw rolled ice cream in Thailand during a backpacking trip around South East Asia and we quickly joined the queue as we’d never seen this unique way of making ice cream before.
As our trip was coming to an end, we found ourselves lying on tropical beaches dreaming of how we could bring a slice of paradise back to the UK with us. We threw all kinds of ideas around, but before we knew it we were back in the UK and both working 9-5 office jobs. Mitch even got offered the same job he left behind within two weeks of returning home!
Three months on from arriving home, and after the buzz of seeing much-missed family and friends faded, our lives took a shock turn when Mitch’s dad suffered a very unexpected heart attack and passed away, aged just 54.
Faced with the realisation that life is too short not to take more risks, we decided to take a leap of faith and set up IcyCurls. However, given the recent events we wanted to make sure our ice cream base wasn’t made with unhealthy and artificial ingredients.
After many long hours testing various recipes, we came across the perfect mixture, which has since been enjoyed by thousands of people across the country at many private events that we’ve been lucky enough to be hired for.

Frequently Asked Questions
Alex: Keep it classic with mint-choc-chip, a tiny bit of whipped cream and some chocolate sauce!
Mitch: The sweeter the better...lotus biscoff, strawberry (healthy) & oreo for the base, then whipped cream, pop an oreo on top and finish with some toffee sauce.
We've completely lost count!
It's less calorific and healthier than cream, less people are allergic or intolerant to coconut milk, plus the taste is very neutral so doesn't alter the ice cream flavour.
Our base is vegan and we offer many dairy-free options when available (i.e our mint choc chip is vegan), but we understand people have different tastes which we are happy to accommodate. Some popular non-vegan flavours include Kinder Bueno, Salted Caramel and Nutella.
Not yet...but we are always interested in working with local businesses for pop ups and partnerships. Get in touch if you'd like to work together!
We let customers choose 6 flavours of their choice. Our 'classics' are Raspberry Ripple, Strawberry, Cookies n Cream, Lotus Biscoff, Mint Choc Chip & Pina Colada.
Other requests so far include - Cheesecake, Banoffee Pie, Dime Bar, Pistachio, Nutella, Kinder Bueno, Banana, Goji Berry, Salted Caramel and many more...
